Known actually as a very intelligent breed, Pitbulls nevertheless do not deserve the reputation of aggressive dogs that tend to attack people and other dogs. In fact, the breed has nothing to do with overly aggressive dogs. If trained and socialized properly they make excellent, loving companions that are always ready to protect their owner and family members.

Size: Males and females are about 19-23 inches at the withers.
Appearance: Broad, strong, athletic dogs with compact, well-proportioned bodies and solid motion.
Coat and Color: The coat is rather short, stiff firm and comes in a great variety of colors, patterns and with different markings.
Head: Wide and flat head with a long square muzzle, dark round eyes and cropped or natural ears.
Tail: The tail is of medium length, tapering to en end.
